Since a new Evil Dead game is coming out later this month, fans of multiplayer games are wondering: is Evil Dead crossplay? For many social gamers, being able to play with friends no matter the platform is very important. Because of this, crossplay is becoming more and more of a standard in these kinds of multiplayer games.

We are here to tell which Evil Dead game is perfect for fun with friends on multiple platforms. We will tell you everything you need to know.

Does Evil Dead support crossplay?

The good news is that Evil Dead has the crossplay feature.  So, even if all of your friends are playing on another platform, you can still join them, as long as you have the game.

Crossplay will work on all of the platforms where Evil Dead is available, so  PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The official website says that a Nintendo Switch version of the game is “coming soon,” but it’s not clear if that version will also support crossplay.

Crossplay was first talked about on the game’s official Twitter account in February 2022. But ever since then, there has been no news about crossplay. So we can say that nothing has changed.

With crossplay turned on, players on different platforms will be able to play multiplayer games with each other. So, it means that matchmaking will work on all platforms, so you’ll probably always be able to find a multiplayer lobby. The main benefit, though, is that you can still play with friends who may be using a different console.

How do I turn it on?

As of now, we are not sure how, since the game hasn’t come out yet, but you will probably turn it on and off in the matchmaking menu. This way, you can choose whether you only want to play with people on your own platform or with people on other consoles, as well.
