Touken Ranbu Warriors will get a demo gameplay in Japan, and fans will be able to try it out before the actual release. We are here to tell you everything you need to know about it. Touken Ranbu has a simple idea at its origins: what if Japanese swords turned into hot guys, who will fight evil time travelers, in order to try and change history?

DMM, together with Nitroplus, have teamed up to create this franchise, launching Touken Ranbu Online in January 2015. It was incredibly popular, and the audience was made basically out of Japanese women. It got an anime adaptation made by Studio Ufotable.

Franchises like Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors have always been popular, especially among women. So when Koei Tecmo announced Touken Ranbu Warriors, fans were all excited.

So when is the release date?

The demo was released on February 3rd, 2022, at midnight JST/10 AM EST/7 AM PST. The demo will be permanently available, but it will only be in Japanese. Koei Tecmo America didn’t announce the demon and we think it won’t happen anytime soon.

How to download the demo

First of all, you will need to switch your Nintendo account’s region to Japan from Settings. Use your money from the digital wallet, because otherwise, you will lose them. Keep in mind that if your account is set to North America, you won’t be able to change regions until your digital wallet is empty.

After that, go to the Touken Ranbu Musou Japanese eShop page.

Keep in mind that the saves from the demo can be transferred to the full game, in case you want to grab the full version of it.

Touken Ranbu Warriors will be released on the 17th of February, 2022, on Nintendo Switch, in Japan, with both physical and digital versions.
