Vivo is once again eager to impress the world with some foldable devices after the release of the X Fold smartphone back in 2022. After one year, the Vivo X Fold2 and X Flip will arrive on the smartphone market, along with the Vivo Pad 2 tablet.

GSMArena has spotted on Weibo the news regarding the three new devices under the Vivo brand. All three upcoming gadgets have the same release date, which is scheduled for a bit more than a week ahead.

Vivo X Fold 2, X Flip, and Pad 2 will launch on April 20

All three Vivo devices share the same release date: April 20. While foldable devices don’t represent something entirely new from Vivo, the Vivo X Flip will be the Chinese manufacturer’s first clamshell foldable smartphone.

The Vivo X Fold 2 will obviously have two displays. One of them measures 8.03 inches, and it packs the E6 AMOLED technology, while the other display is a 6.53-inch E6 AMOLED, and it covers the exterior of the device. As expected, the Vivo X Fold 2 will harness the power of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which is still the best processor around for Android phones. We can also see the same chipset implemented on all three Samsung Galaxy S23 series phones.

There’s not much to learn about the Vivo X Flip for now. According to rumors, this device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, which is a less powerful processor compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

As for the Vivo Pad 2 tablet, we can expect it to run on a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset. It will also feature a bigger display than what the previous Vivo Pad tablet, which came out in April 2022, has to offer.

We’ll get rid of any doubts on April 20, when all three Vivo devices will come out. Stay tuned and remember that good things (usually) come to those who wait!
