Get ready for a whole lotta stealthy killing action because Hitman 3 is about to become Hitman: World of Assassination on January 26th! And the best part? If you already own a copy of Hitman 3, it looks like you’ll get the first two games in the series for free (according to Polygon, at least). But beware – once the change goes into effect, the first two Hitmans will no longer be available for standalone purchase.

No more confusion over what content you own or how to redeem those pesky legacy packs, says developer IO Interactive. Just pure, unadulterated assassination fun across a variety of platforms, including PC and all the major consoles. There’s no wonder why IO considers the move to be beneficial for the players of Hitman 3. Here’s what the company wrote on its blog:

Essentially, these two changes will mean that all new players and existing HITMAN 3 owners will have the same base content ownership. There will be no more confusion over which edition to buy, what content you own, how to redeem Legacy packs or import locations, etc. We’re done with that.

Are you ready to step into the shoes of the world’s deadliest assassin? Look no further than the Hitman series, where you’ll be able to travel the globe and take out your targets with style (and a whole lot of stealth). As Agent 47, you’ll have access to an arsenal of gadgets, weapons, and disguises to help you get the job done. But be careful – one wrong move and you could end up with a bullet between the eyes (or worse). With multiple games in the series, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to hone your skills and become the ultimate killing machine. Just remember to leave your conscience at the door.

Hitman 3 can be played on a range of different platforms, including Windows PC and various video game consoles such as PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. This means that players have a range of options for playing the game, depending on the type of device they own.
