We have previously written on the rumored next Sly Cooper game here and here, and we are all aware that the third time is meant to be the charm, right? The accumulation of rumors is reaching a point where it is no longer possible to ignore the situation. At this point, it is imperative that we all admit that Sly Cooper 5 is a thing that will actually take place.

If you are concerned about Kawaki Uzumaki’s skills, there is no need; while he is a new leaker and people are not sure whether to trust his info, Nick Baker responded to his tweet by stating that he could confirm that Sly Cooper 5 had, in fact, been in the works since the summer of this year. He is also able to affirm that the reveal will take place during a State of Play event sometime around the middle of 2022.
The only significant question that is still open is whether or not this new Sly Cooper game will really be Sly Cooper 5, or if we are going to see developers restart the Sly Cooper franchise. In either case, we will finally see the return of a wonderful franchise that has been absent for an unacceptably long time.
