Summer Game Fest 2022 has come to an end, and although a number of new games and trailers were shown to interested viewers, one game that had been expected to debut during yesterday’s presentation was conspicuously missing.

Players were left wondering whether God of War Ragnarok will still be released this year and fearing that it might be postponed until 2023 as a result of the lack of information. However, according to a recent article from Bloomberg, they may now have an answer to their question.

According to three persons acquainted with the game’s production, it will be released in November, as per Jason Schreier’s report, and a firm launch date might be disclosed later this month.

Furthermore, some recent retail listings for the title may have reflected Sony’s intentions before an internal delay early this year, according to the source.

Before Summer Game Fest, another discovery, this one a reported update to God of War Ragnarok’s page on the PlayStation Store, was added gasoline to the speculative fire sparked by the item finds.

A similar update to the Final Fantasy XVI website before to its debut in the PlayStation State of Play showcase was suggested as evidence that God of War will be included in the Summer Game Fest presentation.

Schreier’s statement on ResetEra, in which he said that sources had told him that the game had not been delayed and was still scheduled for release in 2022, further fueled this belief.

An early morning report from Gamereactor Spain said the game will not be shown at Summer Game Fest, but it would also be postponed until 2023. Affirming that the game hadn’t been postponed, Schreier also said that he hadn’t heard anything indicating that it will appear at Summer Game Fest. It seems that curious gamers will have to wait until an official release announcement is made, which might be within the next several weeks.
