Fable 4 is bound to arrive to Xbox soon, and we cannot wait to see what the developers have in their plan for us.
The latest game from the series was announced some time ago, and it is now one of the most anticipated games of 2022. But after we got the initial announcement, we didn’t really hear anything about it, so fans started wondering whether the game would be released or not.
There are plenty of rumors on the internet, and right before E3 2021, some said that we’re going to learn more at the event. But that was not the case – the rumor came from a concept artist that used to work on the game, and things were misunderstood.
There’s a job listing going around
The lead Writer of Playground Games, Anna Megill, has tweeted that the developers are looking for a narrative designer for their next game, Fable.
The listing shows that the ideal candidate should have “a creative eye for storytelling mechanics & systems & a deep understanding of the interactive requirements of game narrative.” This role is all about writing storylines, dialogues, and lore, which means that we won’t see the game being released anytime soon. People were expecting the game to be released in 2022, but now, with this job listing in mind, we know that it is not going to happen.
The head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, stated that fans should put their trust in Playground Games, as they are doing an incredible job, and the “pedigree of the team” shows their worth.
Aaron Greenberg, general manager of Xbox Games Marketing, also stated that “To put the Fable franchise – and give it a completely fresh start – in the hands of one of the greatest game developers in the world, and also right there in England with Playground Games, is sort of a dream come true.”
