Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is one of the most anticipated titles, as we have reasons to expect a very successful game. GSC Game World halted the development of the game because of the war between Russia and Ukraine. The developer is from Kyiv, Ukraine.

Thanks to PCGamer.com, we now know that the development of the game has been resumed. The big news was brought via Discord by a community representative of GSC Game World known as Mol1t.

As you’ve already guessed from the title, the main action is supposed to take place in Chornobyl, Ukraine. That’s the location of the biggest nuclear disaster in history that took place in 1986. Stalker 2 will be a survival game where the protagonist will get to deal with many dangers, including anomalies that appeared because of the nuclear disaster.

The official Steam page of the game provides the following description:

Chornobyl Exclusion Zone has changed dramatically after the second massive explosion in year 2006. Violent mutants, deadly anomalies, warring factions have made the Zone a very tough place to survive. Nevertheless, artifacts of unbelievable value attracted many people called S.T.A.L.K.E.R.s, who entered the Zone for their own risk striving to make a fortune out of it or even to find the Truth concealed in the Heart of Chornobyl.

You can already go ahead and pre-purchase Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl from Steam for 59.99 euros for the standard version of the game. If you wish to purchase the Deluxe Edition, you’ll need to invest 20 euros more. The Ultimate Edition is also available, and you need to pay 109.99 euros to buy it.

Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl will become available only for PC and Xbox consoles. The release date is mainly set for December 8, but we’ll see if any change appears.
