Gotham Knights may have gotten a secret upgrade to co-op mode that makes the number of players in the party go from 2 to 4.

When it was shown that Gotham Knights would have four playable characters at launch, people thought that the game would be built around a 4-player co-op mode. However, WB Montreal later confirmed that Gotham Knights would only have a 2-player co-op mode.

The fact that the game has always started with four playable superheroes didn’t sound ideal to the developers, but we are still waiting until we make a decision.

But the PlayStation Store listing shows that WB Montreal has already secretly changed the co-op mode so that it can be played by four people at once.

A Reddit user found something new on the page for Gotham Knights on the PlayStation Store that we might have missed. The game’s PS Store page says that it can support up to 4 online players with PS Plus. This is a hint that the game has a 4-player co-op mode.

This is different from what the developers had already said, which was that there would be a mode for two players to work together. So, either Sony made a mistake when they listed the game, or WB Montreal has added a secret feature to the game’s co-op mode that probably won’t be shown until later.

Since it’s not an official thing, let’s take it with a grain of salt for now, but if WB Interactive doesn’t delay the game, we should probably hear more about the game soon. Don’t forget, and it comes out in the fall of 2022.

Gotham Knights should be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC on October 25, 2022.
