All of you hardcore Dragon Ball fans out there are surely eager to see precisely what the upcoming movie ‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ is all about. We already have a ton of leaked information about the film, but surely it can never be enough.

‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ will bring Gohan back to new and improved heights in terms of power level. Goku’s son seems to be more ready than ever to face a new major threat that would give even Goku and Vegeta a hard time. We can also expect that Piccolo will be joining forces with Gohan to take down a new powerful android created by the Red Ribbon Army, and a lot more.

‘Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero’ releases during the summer for North America

According to ComingSoon.net, the release date window for the upcoming movie in North America is set somewhere during the summer. The information seems to be pretty reliable, considering that those who made the announcement are the producers Akio Iyoku and Norihiro Hayashida, but also the director Tetsuro Kodama. They made the claim, without providing a precise release date, during the Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2022 event.

Akira Toriyama released an important statement not long ago, as ComingSoon.net quotes:

An all-new movie since Dragon Ball Super: Broly is currently in the making!

Just like the previous movie, I’m heavily leading the story and dialogue production for another amazing film. I really shouldn’t talk too much about the plot yet, but be prepared for some extreme and entertaining bouts, which may feature an unexpected character. We’ll be charting through some unexplored territory in terms of the visual aesthetics to give the audience an amazing ride, so I hope everybody will look forward to the new movie!

There’s a major hint that one of the androids present in the upcoming movie would be none other than Cell, but only time will tell for sure!
