We know, the pandemic has been hard on all of us. We got plenty of delays in the beginning, and even now, in 2022, we still deal with some series arriving later than expected. And anime fans will not be happy to learn that The Rising of the Shield Hero was delayed. That’s right, the second season won’t be here anytime soon. And we’re here to tell you all we know so far about it.

It is safe to say that The Rising of the Shield Hero is one of the most popular manga series. It was made into an anime back in 2019. The second and third seasons of the series were announced back in September 2019.  Season 2 was supposed to be released in 2021, so everyone was waiting for that to happen, except it didn’t. The promised release date never happened. Recent reports have shown that Season 2 will not be released until April 2022.

This series is an anime adaptation of the manga with the same name. It was written by Aneko Yusagi, and the director of Season 2 is Masato Jibo. Takao Abo directed the first season.

The anime is about the story of a Japanese boy named Naofumi Iwatani. He got into another universe, and he had to fight the bad. He does it together with his demi-human slave Raphtalia and Filo. And after he was betrayed by Malty Melromarc, he wanted to become the strongest ever.

Season 2 will bring Naofumi, Raphtalia and Filo meeting new people. We’ll also get to meet new antagonists.

So when is the release date?

The studio has released a statement saying that they will release Season 2 of The Rising of the Shield Hero in April 2022. We’re hoping that this time they will manage to release it on time.
