The Sepulcher of the First Ones will soon be here – to be exact, early in 2022, and we’ll see the ancient ruins of the First Ones, and we’ll get to meet the Jailer, who wants all of the power for himself. He is eager to create the realm of death.

Welcome to Zereth Mortis! You will follow Jailer to the new land, which used to be the home to the First Ones. They made the Shadowlands there for the dead souls of Azeroth.

In case you don’t know, a Sepulcher is a room where the dead is, so the First Ones will probably be seen inside a Tomb. But we don’t know what else is there – we don’t even know if they are dead to begin with. We will see how that interferes with the Jailer’s plans.

Blizzard has talked about a smalls story arc to appear in the 9.2.5 patch, which could end the story and make room for a new one.

The company stated they want to raid to happen in two halves. The 8th encounter will end in the first half, and Anduin Wrynn will be as strong as any of the final bosses. Then, there will be three more who will bring you to the Jailer Encounter, and that’s how the second story will end.

Up until now, the first 8 bosses have been testes on the PTR, and there are no new patches until 2022, so we need to wait before we’re getting any more testing.

Who are the bosses?

These are the 11 bosses:

  • Vigilant Guardian
  • Dausenge, the Fallen Oracle
  • Artificer Xy’mox
  • Prototype Pantheon
  • Skolex, the Insatiable Ravener
  • Halondrus the Reclaimer
  • Lihuvim, Principle Architect
  • Anduin Wrynn
  • Lords of Dread
  • Rygelon
  • The Jailer

There are three levels of difficulty: normal, heroic and mythic.
