New movie

In a new interview, the legendary anime director stated that he will be coming to Studio Ghibli to create a new movie. It’s not the first occasion Miyazaki has stepped out of his “retirement” to make a picture. He proclaimed his departure in the 1990s, but he has created multiple comebacks after that when he has been inspired to make a masterwork.

One Final

Now, it appears like Miyazaki has discovered a new source of inspiration, which will be realized in Studio Ghibli’s upcoming anime feature, One Final. Although Miyazaki hasn’t revealed more regarding the next movie One Final, we believe that it is inspired by Genzaburo Yoshino’s 1937 novel How Do You Live?

The plot revolves on the lives of a 15-year-old Tokyo kid who is undersized for his age and has a rebellious streak. Following his dad’s passing, the little child must face unavoidable and massive upheaval, even his own desertion of his best buddy. Throughout the novel, he ponders the earth, skies, and human nature in order to find a solution to the issue of how he would live.

Hayao Miyazaki has been recognized as a master of storytelling, and as a maker of anime feature films. We are excited to see what he has in store for his final movie and we have reasons to believe that Studio Ghibli is about to offer us a new masterpiece.
