Several How I Met Your Mother spin-offs were in the works but were scrapped in the past years. However, one of them is finally being effectively adapted. Yes… Hulu announced How I Met Your Father, a spin-off of How I Met Your Mother, starring Hilary Duff, in April 2021. Ever since news, Hulu has continued to grow its cast, with the most recent info coming on November 5th, stating that Kim Cattrall, star of Sex and the City and Filthy Rich, has joined the cast. Cattrall has opted to leave the casts of Just Like That and SATC Reboot in favor of joining the cast of How I Met Your Father.
How I Met Your Father will tell a narrative that follows a similar path. But this time, it’ll go in an entirely different route from the first series, which premiered in 2005 and ran for nine seasons. The sitcom told the narrative of Ted Mosby’s (Josh Radnor) meeting his wife.
The spinoff of How I Met Your Father has yet to begin filming. It’s no surprise, therefore, that presenting fans with a teaser with an actual launch date will take some time. The first season will include ten episodes and will be available on Hulu. The specific launch date has yet to be announced, but we can expect it to air somewhere in 2022.
Sophie will be a significant character in the plot of How I Met Your Father (Hilary Duff). She’s using the format of the original series, flashback narrative, and voiceover commentary to inform her kid about the events that lead her to meet his father. New York City will be the setting for the series and it will in fact be filmed in Los Angeles. In New York City, Sophie is working out her life path with her friends, seeking her authentic self, and going through the arena of dating, using many dating apps, just like she did in the previous chapter of her life.
