Apple is expected to unveil its iPhone 14 lineup in just a few months, along with a new smartwatch. While the upcoming phones will surely be significantly superior to the iPhone 13 lineup, there’s no use expecting them to be as cheap as chips.
A new report claims that the standard iPhone 14 and the Pro models will be available at increased pricing than expected.
Expect a price increase of $100
Dan Ives, who is head of the analyst group Wedbush Securities, stated for The Sun:
We believe a $100 price increase is coming for the iPhone 14,
Prices have been increasing across the whole supply chain, and Cupertino needs to pass these costs to the consumer on this release.
If the information is correct, a price increase of $100 sure means a lot! Ives also says that supply chain prices represent what’s causing the increase in prices.
Assuming that what Ives claims is the truth, here’s how much you’ll likely need to pay if you want to have either one of the upcoming iPhone 14 models in your pocket:
- iPhone 14: $899
- iPhone 14 Max: $999
- iPhone 14 Pro: $1099
- iPhone 14 Pro Max: $1199
The claim of Dan Ives comes in accordance with what leaker @The Galox_ said about two weeks ago when he spoke about the anticipated prices of both iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. He was also betting on $1099 and $1199, respectively. Except for the prices, he also revealed a series of specs for the iPhone 14 lineup.
For the Pro and Pro Max version of the iPhone 14, @TheGalox_ believes that there will be an A16 Bionic processor, an AMOLED display of 120Hz refresh rate, FaceID, iOS 16 for the operating system, 8GB of RAM, and more.
