Many fans of the Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2) action-adventure game built by Rockstar consider it to be a masterpiece. We don’t say that we necessarily agree, but they sure have some strong arguments: the narrative and the gameplay speak for themselves, they often claim.

RDR2 is already four years old, and it’s exciting to see that it’s receiving mods even nowadays. It means that the fans surely hadn’t forgotten about Rockstar’s creation! RDR2 already features some powerful visual effects, and the hardware demands speak for themselves. The game requires 150GB of storage space for its PC version, which means huge even for the gaming world nowadays.

The new ‘Vestigia’ mod even changes the behavior of NPCs

pcgamesn.com reveals to us the incredible changes that the Vestigia mod brings for RDR2. The mod changes the entire in-game world, including the weather, the surroundings, and even the behavior of some NPCs.

RDR2 has an impressive modding community, however, and it doesn’t seem to lay it low too soon. This can only be beneficial for the game, however, as more and more people get to find out about it.

Feel free to check out some relevant footage of the Vestigia mod:

If you’ve already fallen in love with the new mod, you can grab it at no charge via NexusMods! Its description, according to the website, sounds like this:

Are you tired of the jarring and unrealistic weather system, or the color-filtered and often desaturated look of the game? Maybe you find Red Dead’s wilderness not wild enough, or maybe you just think that birds don’t flap their wings fast enough! Luckily, I’ve wasted almost a year of my time so that you feel better playing the game!

Otherwise, you can play Red Dead Redemption 2 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC, and Google Stadia.
