More and more people use Windows 11 to the detriment of the older Windows 10. There’s no wonder why, as Microsoft’s latest operating system has some nice features. Windows 11 users are delighted by the possibility of running Android apps directly on their PCs, which is achievable thanks to the Amazon Appstore marketplace.

Windows 11 is now expanding the functionality to a few more countries. The Amazon Appstore has hundreds of Android apps that Windows 11 users can use directly on their laptops or desktop computers running Microsoft’s latest operating system.

Here are the five new countries where the feature is expanding:

  • France
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • United Kingdom

Microsoft itself made the announcement via a blog post, where it wrote:

The Amazon Appstore preview on Windows 11 is currently available in the US, and it will be expanding to five additional countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom, by the end of this year.

The Amazon App Store works for Android, Windows 11, and Fire OS. There’s no availability for Windows 10 at the moment, which is a major complaint that people make. That’s another argument to consider upgrading to Windows 11 if you haven’t done it already!

As for the availability of the marketplace for Android devices, there’s no surprise here, considering that we’re talking about the most popular operating system in the world. Roughly 2.5 billion people from over 190 countries are using Android in an active way.

Windows 11 was released last year in October, and the devs seem to be constantly looking for ways to improve the operating system.

However, since there’s no word of a precise release date when it comes to the support offered by Windows 11, all we can do is have some patience. After all, it may be one of the biggest virtues of all.
