With December right around the corner, we’re even closer to Apex Legends’ next update. It was supposed to be released in 2021, but we think it will be here in 2022 – that, if we believe all the leaks on the internet. Let’s hope we just don’t have to wait a lot of time from now on.
What we’ve learned so far from leaks
A well-known leaker has talked about new possibilities for Apex Legends. In a recent video, he talks about everything he knows with regards to the next-gen update.
Respawn Entertainment is currently working on the next-gen update for Apex Legends. The files were data mined back in October, and the scripts were made for the PS5 DualSense Controller. None of the scripts are activated now, but it shows us that the update is close. The leaker has found new codenames for Xbox Series X and S. By finding these codenames, and he thinks that we might get the update earlier than expected.
The next-gen update will be made for 120FPS, and this is one of Respawn’s high priorities. The update might allow fans to play in 4K if your devices support it.
So when is the release date?
Do we have a clear release date? Some said it will come with Season 12 in 2022. Some say it will be exactly between February 4th and February 9th. But since we do not have any official details coming from the company, we need to take all of this with a pinch of salt.
As of now, we are waiting for an official statement from the company. Whether we get it in 2022 or later, we are here for all of it.
