Dragon Ball Super fans were left with a sense of anticipation at the end of the Tournament of Power arc back in 2018, with the fates of some of their favorite characters hanging in the balance. Now, after a long hiatus, the anime series is set to return in 2023, promising to deliver more thrilling action and intense battles for fans to enjoy.

The first season of Dragon Ball Super ended with the conclusion of the Tournament of Power arc, which saw Goku and his allies from Universe 7 battling it out against other warriors from across the multiverse in a battle royale for survival. The stakes were high, with the fate of entire universes on the line, and the action was some of the most intense and exciting that the Dragon Ball franchise has ever seen.

At the end of the arc, fans were left with a number of questions. What would become of Frieza, who had been resurrected by the gods of destruction and had seemingly betrayed his allies? Would Goku and Vegeta continue to train and grow stronger, or would they retire from battle to focus on their families? How about Gohan, will he continue training or will he, once again, refugiate in his studies? And what of the other universes that had been erased during the tournament – would they ever be restored?

Fortunately for fans, the upcoming return of Dragon Ball Super promises to answer these questions and more. While details about the new season are still scarce, we can expect to see some of our favorite characters returning to the screen and new villains to be introduced.

Frieza will once again be under the spotlight

One character whose fate is sure to be explored is Frieza, who was left in a precarious position at the end of the Tournament of Power arc. While he had helped Universe 7 tremendously during the big tournament, he had also shown his true colors as a selfish and treacherous villain, and it remains to be seen whether Goku and his allies will be able to trust him going forward.

Goku and Vegeta will never stop training

We can also expect to see Goku and Vegeta continue to train and grow stronger, as they always do. Dragon Ball Super has always been about the power of perseverance and the drive to constantly improve oneself, and we can expect to see these themes continue to play a major role in the new season.

New villains will emerge

One of the most exciting things about the return of Dragon Ball Super is the possibility of new villains being introduced. The Dragon Ball franchise has always been known for its colorful and larger-than-life antagonists, and fans are eager to see what kind of new threats Goku and his allies will have to face.

Of course, with so little information available about the new season, it’s impossible to say for certain what fans can expect. There are sure to be plenty of surprises and twists along the way, as well as some epic battles and heartwarming moments between beloved characters.

For those who have been eagerly anticipating the return of Dragon Ball Super, the wait is almost over. With the series set to return this year, fans can start counting down the days until they can once again dive into the world of Goku and his friends, and experience the excitement and thrills that have made the Dragon Ball franchise a beloved classic. Whether you’re a long-time fan or a newcomer to the series, there’s never been a better time to jump in and discover the power of Dragon Ball.
