If there’s one thing we all have to agree upon when it comes to Android games, it is that many of them are fun to play. The Google Play Store is loaded with exciting titles to choose from. Just in case you also want to learn some useful stuff during your gameplay, you must know that even educational games are included.

But how about running your favorite Android games on your PC as well? Sure, the option of using an emulator is also there, but you must also be hesitant when it comes to installing something from the internet. Furthermore, wouldn’t it be easier and a lot more safe and comfortable to run Android games directly from your Windows PC? That’s precisely what Google intends for the new year that’s just around the corner.

Google Play Games will become available for the PC in 2022

According to The Verge, the Google Play Games app will become available for Windows PCs in 2022, and the software’s name says it all. As you’ve already guessed, the intention is to make Android games available and playable on Windows computers. Google itself will develop the app without even teaming up with Microsoft. The software shall allow the users to enjoy games from the Google Play Store on their Windows-based gadgets.

Greg Hartrell, the product director of games for Google on Android and Google Play, explained for The Verge:

Starting in 2022, players will be able to experience their favorite Google Play games on more devices: seamlessly switching between a phone, tablet, Chromebook, and soon, Windows PCs,

This Google built product brings the best of Google Play Games to more laptops and desktops, and we are thrilled to expand our platform for players to enjoy their favorite Android games even more.

We’re eagerly waiting to see Google’s plan put into action. Until that moment, there are so many exciting games available for Windows PCs to choose from!
