Fans of Apple are excitedly anticipating the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), which will take place in 2023. During this conference, they will hear about the most recent additions that will be included in the forthcoming version of iOS, which will be version 17. On the other hand, as is customary, there are speculations going around regarding what to anticipate from the next edition of the operating system.

According to one of these rumors, iOS 17 would reportedly enable users to sideload applications, which is a change that would make Steve Jobs furious. It’s possible that this shift came about because of a proposal made by the European Union to compel closed platforms to open up their platforms to app stores run by third parties. It is not yet clear, however, whether this change will just take effect in nations that are members of the EU or also in the United States. There is a possibility that Apple may make this announcement at WWDC 2023.

There is also the notion that Apple may stop allowing normal customers to install free developer beta versions of the operating system in the future. With the release of iOS 16.4, a loophole that allowed iPhone users to quickly install beta versions by utilizing configuration profile files has been closed. Before, iPhone owners had this opportunity. From from point on, the only way to get access to developer betas will be via enrolling in Apple’s Developer Program, which carries a yearly charge of $99. On the other hand, this change might have a beneficial unintended consequence, since it will make it simpler for iPhone owners running iOS 16.4 to install iOS betas by way of the settings application.

It’s possible that Apple may unveil the next iteration of CarPlay, a feature that was hinted at during the WWDC 2022 conference. The tech giant headquartered in Cupertino asserts that it would usher in a new era of in-car infotainment by having its own proprietary dashboard interface gradually replace all other options. On the other hand, the implementation of this feature might be contingent on factors other than Apple’s desire.

It is essential, as is the case with all rumors, to take each one with a grain of salt. Nonetheless, the presence of these possible additions strongly suggests that Apple’s iOS 17 will be a big upgrade; hence, Apple enthusiasts are anxiously expecting the software’s launch.
