After the resounding success of the Mate 40 series that was released in late 2020, Huawei seems eager to prove that it can even do more with its upcoming Mate 50 series. The Huawei Mate 40 model is worth its demanded price of roughly 630 euros. It features a 4200mAh battery, a Kirin 9000E 5G processor, and a 50MP main camera, just to make the long story short.

Huawei keeps having some important plans for the near future, and one of them is known as the Mate 50 series. After some speculations that surfaced online about when the next handset from the Chinese giant is coming out, we’re confident that we finally have some reliable info.

Huawei will unveil the Mate 50 series in Q3 of 2022

Gizchina.com reveals that Huawei should unveil its Mate 50 series at some time beginning in July and ending in September if no big surprise occurs. That means in the third quarter of the current year. The same source reveals that EqualLeaks indicates the presence of a new Kirin SoC, which is known as the “Kirin 9000s”.

But perhaps the biggest news regarding the upcoming arrival of the Huawei Mate 50 is that the famous manufacturer will also launch the latest HarmonyOS 3.0 along with the device itself, which will likely bring some new functionalities. HarmonyOS could be considered Huawei’s response to the US ban that left the Chinese brand unable to use any Google software anymore. That also obviously includes the Android operating system.

Huawei has sure proved to the world that there is life without Android, perhaps the best operating system for mobile devices. It’s already been three years since the initial release of HarmonyOS came out, and the software has been received generally well.

The Huawei Mate 50 model will also be featuring 5G capabilities, which was utterly expected. The camera will also be better than what exists on the predecessor gadget, judging by the information we have.
