Rockstar Games launched a fresh new subscription service for GTA Online, which is only exclusive for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. They did it with the release of the latest GTA 5 Enhanced and Expanded Edition for next-gen consoles, but it now appears the company is looking to expand the service to other platforms, as well.

In the gaming industry, subscription services have become extremely popular in recent years. From Amazon’s Twitch Prime to Fortnite’s Crew membership, there’s something for everyone. Some games use Battle Pass as a revenue technique. GTA Online, on the other hand, had never had any of them until recently.

Many experienced fans of the game on new consoles looked intrigued by the GTA Plus membership when it was announced, even if it doesn’t seem to be worth the $6 per month price tag. Rockstar, on the other hand, is keen on expanding the service to new platforms.

Rockstar is currently looking for new developers

Fans recently discovered a job posting on Rockstar Games that is tied to developing the subscription service. Rockstar Games is searching for someone to help with “Subscription Product Management and Implementation of Features across PC Applications,” according to the job description.

While this isn’t a formal statement, it’s clear that Rockstar intends to make its subscription service available on PC.

Before this, the PC version of GTA Online, along with the Xbox Series X|S and PS5 versions, was re-rated by the ESRB, which might be another sign for the arrival of GTA 5’s next-gen update and content on PC.

Right now, GTA 5 is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC. Unfortunately, the GTA Plus Subscription is not available for PS4 or Xbox One users.
