Forza Horizon 5 is just a few months old, and it has already gotten an impressive update for its multiplayer sector. The big announcement was brought by Playground Games itself, the developer of the game.

Therefore, if you think you need a challenge when it comes to a highly-competitive racing game, you should definitely give Horizon Open a try! That’s the name of the multiplayer mode itself of Forza Horizon 5,

A new progression system

What can motivate you better during a race if the stake isn’t high enough? Probably a special badge, of course! It seems that the developers in charge of Forza Horizon 5 seem to know that lesson very well!

Here’s what the patch notes say about the multiplayer mode of the game:

  • Horizon Open has been updated with a new progression system including Badges which can be unlocked through gameplay
  • Added Custom Racing to Horizon Open, which will allow players to find races for their chosen race discipline and PI class
  • Fixed some scenarios where the player could be left waiting longer than necessary in the post-race flow

If you’re still not convinced that you should try out the game, here’s how its Steam page presents it:

Your Ultimate Horizon Adventure awaits! Explore the vibrant and ever-evolving open world landscapes of Mexico with limitless, fun driving action in hundreds of the world’s greatest cars. Begin Your Horizon Adventure today and add to your Wishlist!

You’ll need a pretty powerful configuration if you’re willing to play Forza Horizon 5 on a PC! You’ll need a minimum of an Intel i5-4460 or AMD Ryzen 3 1200 processor. As for the video card, it’s recommended to have an NVidia GTX 1070, AMD RX 590, or something better.

If you’re already a Forza Horizon 5 fan, feel free to tell us if you’re excited about the new update!
