We’ve all loved Kirby and The Forgotten Land, and it seems that we might get another game soon. An unannounced Kirby game has just been teased by Nintendo. We’ve learned everything from Nintendo Dream magazine in Japan, and a new Kirby game will be released. A translation of a tweet says: “In addition to detailed news about Kirby and The Forgotten Land, we’ve also included a new game that we didn’t expect! I have a feeling that a new title will be announced.”

2022 is Kirby’s 30th anniversary, and Nintendo has teased some new activities that may happen soon. It might be a sign that a new game is coming our way.

The modern Kirby games come with mini-games that are extra. Some of them had their own release, so there’s a chance one of them is the potential game coming our way. For example, Super Kirby Clash and Kirby Fighters were supposed to be mini-games, but they received separate releases, and they got more content, as well. Kirby Fighters is getting a sequel, Kirby Fighters 2, for Nintendo Switch.

As of now, we are waiting for new details on the new Kirby game. We will probably hear more in the new Nintendo Dream magazine.

Kirby and The Forgotten Land will be released on the 25th of March, on Nintendo Switch. The trailer shows a co-op gameplay – the first one ever – with the second player being able to control a Bandana Waddle Dee in order to help Kirby on his mission.

Kirby will inhale enemies in order to get their abilities – as it usually does – and the trailer revealed two new abilities. The Drill will let Kirby, well…drill into the ground and attack enemies from beneath – which we think is very smart. Another ability is The Ranger, which allows Kirby to attack distant enemies.
