Will Taron Egerton Replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine? It Seems Like It

Source: gq.com

According to rumors on the internet, Taron Egerton seems to be the next in line for a role in the Marvel universe. The actor appeared in Kingsman and Rocketman, and it seems that he may be replacing Hugh Jackman for the role of Wolverine. Fans might be thrilled, since Egerton is such a good actor. Remember Kingsman? A work of art.

What will happen with Hugh Jackman?

Back in 2016, the actor was asked if he would make an appearance in the Deadpool movie, while he was doing press rounds with Taron Egerton, as they both worked on Eddie the Eagle. Jackman then stated: “I’ve never thought about it till now, but doing something with Ryan – he’s awesome – that’s always attractive to me.” Then, he added: “But I think you’ve probably got several other people lined up to play [Wolverine].” Does this mean that Jackman knows something we don’t?

After Disney acquired the X-Men franchise, it became clear that it would be rebooted into the MCU. The head of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, stated that he wanted to recast the gang with younger actors – including Wolverine. But since the actor is 52 years old, he may not want to reprise his role. But do you know who is a good match? Taron Egerton. But all in all, Marvel studios don’t really say much about the cast until the very end.

Will Hugh Jackman reprise his role?

Kelvin Feige has also stated that he would like that characters like Professor X and Wolverine to return for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. And Hugh Jackman has recently dropped a hint on his Instagram profile, which makes us believe he might be coming back as Wolverine, after all.
