Samsung has always been a respected firm, and not only when it comes to smartphones. The South Korean tech giant has proven decent efficiency when it comes to monitors as well. And since gaming evolves year by year, we can only be happy knowing that monitors meant for this area are also receiving improvements.

The higher the refresh rate is for a monitor, the smoother and better-looking your gaming will be. Just go ahead and give it a try with Cyberpunk 2077 on a monitor with a high refresh rate and on one with a significantly lower refresh rate. You’ll immediately see a huge difference.

For a monitor to be good for gaming, it needs a minimum of 60 Hz for its refresh rate. But how about having one with four times more, meaning 240 Hz? That’s exactly what Samsung is preparing for its future 4K monitors, according to ArsTechnica.com.

Let’s set the stage for Odyssey Neo G8!

CES 2022 is the event where Samsung is expected to reveal the new Odyssey Neo G8 monitor that’s capable of 4K resolution and a refresh rate of 240Hz.

Let’s dive a little bit more into the specs, as they’re revealed by wccftech.com! As you’ve noticed already, there’s a curved design at 1000R curvature. The Quantum MiniLED technology is also used. Samsung’s Quantum HDR 2000 technology will also play an important role in the new monitor.

Samsung’s new gaming monitor also benefits from:

  • HDMI 2.1 x 2
  • DisplayPort 1.4 x 1
  • ‘CoreSync’ function that will automatically recognize the color of the screen and shall match the product’s backlighting and color

We can continue with the specs, but the best way to uncover the full roster of capabilities is to wait for the CES 2022 event that will start in just two days. During the event, we’ll also find out the release date and price of Samsung’s new tech beauty.
