The biggest event of the year took place on the 9th of December – The Game Awards – and we got to learn a lot of things. Including Square Enix’s future on the market.

The company has stated numerous times that they we working on the sequel for FF7R, but we didn’t get any official details about the title for Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2. Everyone calls it “Part 2.”

What the world predicts

Square Enix will probably announce the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade on PC. Of course, there were several hints out there – which were also given by Square Enix – saying that the game will be released on PC and Xbox Series X and S. But there is still no official announcement yet.

Ever since the 10th of June, Final Fantasy VII Intergrade has been a PS5 exclusive. Sony has mentioned a six-month PS5 exclusivity, and it’s bound to reach its final moments.

The company will probably reveal their latest title soon. The game will also probably come with a subtitle. When it comes to the gameplay, we’re still waiting for more information on that. The trailer will probably be released in 2022.

What are The Game Awards?

The Game Awards are considered to be the Oscars of the games. Final Fantasy is the only Japanese franchises that are still that popular, so we expect the company to give an official statement soon about the new game. The event was hosted by Geoff Keighley, who is also the creator and the producer of the Awards. It was held to an invited audience at the Microsoft Theater.

Tetsuya Nomura shared with us an update a few months ago, talking about world map-like elements, that will come together with “Cloud running in the wilderness”.
