Battlefield 2042: Are We Getting a Battle Royale Mode?

Source: origin.com

Battlefield 2042 was recently released, and the entire fanbase has gone wild. Everyone is eager to play the game, but they have started wondering whether there’s a battle royale mode. We don’t know that for sure, but we do know that Battlefield 2042 wants to do something different with the new release.

Battlefield V added Firestorm after launch, so people want to know if this is also the case for Battlefield 2042.

Are we getting a battle royale?

We know that the game is very popular, but it seems that we’re not getting a battle royale for it – at least not at launch. The game is a live-service one, and there is a possibility for it to get the mode post-launch. Maybe developers will listen to fans’ feedback, and we might get it.

The mode in Battlefield 2042 is called Hazard Zone, and it comes alongside the release date. This mode is an extraction-based one, and teams of four with other squads – but that’s not all. They also have to deal with tough weather conditions, and AI defenders, while trying to grab data drivers and escape alive.

We think Hazard Zone will be successful. But there are still the regular All-Out-Warfare modes, which have plenty of players – about 128 players per map. This actually allows us to experience the Battle Royale atmosphere, and it keeps us eager for more.

There’s also the Battlefield Portal that allows players to create their own game modes. There’s even a rumour that someone has made their own battle royale for the game, but we might want to wait for the official one – if it will ever be released.

Battlefield 2042 can be played on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, Xbox One and PC.
