Elder Ring’s V1.03 Update is Massive

Elder Ring is just a month old since it was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Series S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Windows PC. Even so, the gaming community is impressed by what the RPG has to offer: a massive world that will squeeze every drop of the hardware power from your machine.

There’s no wonder why Elder Ring requires at least an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 as the minimum accepted GPU to run the game or something equivalent. You’ll also need a minimum of 12GB of RAM.

The v1.03 update for Elder Ring is here

Kotaku.com reveals that Elder Rign’s v1.03 has already arrived and that it’s a massive one. There are both additions and fixes coming along with the new update.

One of the most notable additions is the ability to record both the name and location of an NPC onto the map. New background music is also there, as well as new quest phases for Diallos, Nepheli Loux, Kenneth Haight, and Gatekeeper Gostoc.

There are also plenty of bug fixes, and here are some of them:

  • Summoned NPCs can now take damage during some boss battles
  • The player doesn’t freeze anymore while riding
  • The player can now obtain items every time after battling bosses
  • The player can now move to the next area after confronting the Fire Giant
  • Some hostile NPCs don’t drop Furlcalling Finger Remedy anymore.
  • The incorrect sound effect has been fixed
  • Hitboxes and visual animations are now displayed as they should on some maps

Here’s a part of the description offered by Bandai Namco, the publisher of the game:

Rise, Tarnished, and be guided by grace to brandish the power of the Elden Ring and become an Elden Lord in the Lands Between.

In the Lands Between ruled by Queen Marika the Eternal, the Elden Ring, the source of the Erdtree, has been shattered.
