Scream 5 will be the fifth installment of the franchise. It is known for being a subgenre of horror that’s called “meta slasher.” The subgenre is all about fictional stalkers and murderers. They use blades, and they can be quite disturbing since these incidents actually look realistic.
What’s the plot of the movie?
The fifth movie is set twenty-five years after disturbing murders took place in Woodsboro. A new murderer, wearing a Ghostface mask, targets teenagers with big secrets, which could reveal some of the town’s secrets. And you know, some things are better left unsaid. This thing forces Sidney Prescott to return to Woodsboro.
So when is the release date?
After 11 years, while the franchise was on a hiatus, the fifth movie will be released next year, on the 14th of January, 2022.
