Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is getting to be the new trend in media games. In this genre of games, a huge number of people can play simultaneously. In these games, the players adopt the role of the game’s main character and play accordingly. These are mostly thriller games where players have to survive the tasks to go to the next level.
In these games, thousands of players are playing simultaneously, and they can chat privately public chat, or even in video chat; hence, it is now considered a social network of sorts. There are lots of MMORPG games that also allow the marriage of the player during the game. Some of these games are:
Age Of Wushu
It is a Chinese martial arts game that allows marriage in a proper style. The brides register themselves, and the interested male approaches, offering a dowry that is returned if the bride isn’t interested. If the dowry is accepted, then the couple is betrothed.
The Elder Scrolls Online
The imperial edition of the game has access to the marriage. The edition comes with Rings of Mara. Either one of the couples should have one ring. After that, they need to find the Shrine of Mara, which can be found in any zone or secondary hub.
In RIFT, marriage is possible even for the same sex and the opposite sex, and even divorce is an option. Of course, it all comes with money. For marriage, the players of either gender need to buy a marriage contract for platinum from the marriage conductor of the capital city. They can get a wedding planner for ten gold and can plan their wedding wherever they wish for. And the divorce papers cost 20 gold.
Final Fantasy XIV
Final Fantasy allows the most marriage options, including same-gender marriage. As long as it is a player, you can get married to anyone. There are three tiers. The free standard plan gives you a few nice options, including free rings. Then there is the gold tier for $10 and the platinum tier for $20. Whichever option you take, the ceremony takes place in the Ivory Chapel in the Sanctum of the Twelve.
Fallout 4 has the simplest marriage. No-fuss and feathers. All you have to do is go to the terminal inside the chapel in the diamond city and get yourself registered. You have to propose to your companion (same-sex marriage is allowed), and the pastor will declare you married.
In Ragnarök, both players must be at least a base 45 level players. They should also have a few items. Like the groom should have 1.3 million Zenny, a tuxedo, and a diamond ring. The bride should have 1.2 million Zenny, a wedding dress, and a diamond ring. Then they need to head towards the Prontera Sanctuary, where either one of the couples needs to speak to the marriage NPC to initiate the marriage. Then they proceed to the church where they are married.
Many other MMORPG games support online marriage. Some even support child adoption. The list goes on…
