We all have no choice but to get used to the fact that operating systems, such as apps and other pieces of software, become obsolete as they age, or at least that’s what we’re being told. But who are we to contradict tech giants? Let’s just give them the benefit of the doubt!
Such as the legendary Windows 7, Windows XP, or older versions of Microsoft’s operating system for PCs, Windows 10 will also be slowly forgotten. The operating system that made its debut back in 2015 won’t receive any more new features from Microsoft, and it’s only a matter of time until it will also not receive any technical support from the Redmond-based company. That’s because Windows 11 is already out there, and it’s also a matter of time before Windows 12 will also be released.
Windows 10 version 22H2 is the final version of Windows 10
Windows 10 version 22H2, the feature update that came out in 2022, represents the final version of the 8-year-old operating system. The announcement comes straight from Microsoft itself, which means that there’s no room for doubt. There will be no more feature updates for Windows 10, which means that its users will have to find a way to deal with the situation.
However, the complete end of support from Microsoft in the case of Windows 10 is scheduled for October 14, 2025. That means that users will have the chance to keep using Windows 10 in safe conditions for more than two years. After that date, they’ll have to find alternatives or keep using the operating system at their own risk.

As documented on the Windows 10 Enterprise and Education and Windows 10 Home and Pro lifecycle pages, Windows 10 will reach end of support on October 14, 2025. The current version, 22H2, will be the final version of Windows 10, and all editions will remain in support with monthly security update releases through that date. Existing LTSC releases will continue to receive updates beyond that date based on their specific lifecycles.
