Xiaomi has recently announced its concept pair of wireless smart glasses at the MWC conference, the Xiaomi Wireless AR Glass, which offers an immersive AR experience without any wires or dongles. These AR glasses come with two Micro OLED screens and a free-form light-guiding prism module that outputs content to the user’s eyes. The glasses have a peak brightness of up to 1200 nits per eye, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Additionally, the AR glasses come with three camera modules, which help map out the user’s surrounding world.

The electrochromic lenses of the AR glasses offer complete immersion in the virtual space with immersed mode and transparent mode, allowing the user to see objects from their surroundings. The headset is made of magnesium-lithium alloy structure with carbon fiber elements and weighs only 126 grams.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi Wireless AR Glass features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 platform and supports the Snapdragon Spaces XR developer platform. Xiaomi has also developed its AR Gesture controls, which offer spatial detection for precise controls and operation. The latency on the headset is as low as 50ms with a paired smartphone, which is on par with the latency one would expect from a traditional AR/VR headset hooked via cable.

While these AR glasses are still in the concept stage, they showcase the potential of AR technology and the direction it is heading. The immersive and wireless experience of the Xiaomi Wireless AR Glass opens up possibilities for gaming, education, healthcare, and other industries that can benefit from AR technology. With the continuous development and advancements in AR technology, we can expect to see more innovation and products like the Xiaomi Wireless AR Glass.

In conclusion, the Xiaomi Wireless AR Glass is an exciting development in the AR industry, offering an immersive and wireless AR experience. With its lightweight and sleek design, it is a step towards a more seamless integration of AR technology into our daily lives.
