An updated version of the TicWatch Pro smartwatch is almost ready for release. As part of Mobvoi’s plan to modernize the appearance of the TicWatch Pro series, the TicWatch Pro 5 will debut later this year equipped with the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor. Additionally, the TicWatch Pro 5 will have a digital crown. Wear OS 3 will also be one of the first operating systems available for the TicWatch Pro 5, making it one of the first smartwatches available.

Kuba Wojciechowski has disclosed some fresh details on the upcoming flagship wristwatch from Mobvoi. Mobvoi had intended to introduce a TicWatch of the following generation in the previous year. However, Wojciechowski alleges that Mobvoi has just recently integrated rudimentary support for a next-generation TicWatch Pro inside the TicWatch app. Wojciechowski is the author of this allegation. The developer also mentions that Mobvoi has incorporated product representations “in a few places,” however it would seem that they have not yet been included into the front end of the app.

In any case, it would seem that Mobvoi is moving closer to launching a TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra successor, 6 months after Mobvoi originally teased the gadget. This would indicate that Mobvoi is getting closer to delivering a TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra successor. Because tetraphobia is such a prevalent kind of belief in East Asian nations, Mobvoi has decided not to release the TicWatch Pro 4 series of watches. Instead, Mobvoi is getting ready to launch the TicWatch Pro 5.

It would seem that the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 is still there, which ought to make it possible for the TicWatch Pro 5 to exceed all of the TicWatch Pro 3 versions. Qualcomm claims that the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 platform provides twice as much performance and has a battery life that is fifty percent greater than the Wear 4100 and Wear 4100+ platforms. Mobvoi has also modernized the look of the TicWatch Pro range of smartwatches. The digital crown that can be seen on the Pixel Watch will be included on the TicWatch Pro 5, as can be seen in the picture below. Unfortunately, a debut date has not yet been determined, nor has price information been disclosed at this point.
