Google Pixel 7a: New Renders Were Leaked

The Pixel 6a was a mid-tier device that performed like a top-tier device. In addition to sharing the same intelligence as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, its strong Tensor processor gave it a leg up. When Google unveiled the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro in October, many speculated about what the Pixel 7a might be like. Finally, the suspense is over; new renders have surfaced, and they show us what the Google Pixel 7a actually looks like.

Images of the Pixel 7a show that it doesn’t seem drastically different from the Pixel 7. The camera strip, which is its defining characteristic, is still present, and the phone measures 152.4 x 72.9 x 9.0mm, making it almost identical in size as the Pixel 6a. The similar screen design can be found on the front, with a hole-punch camera slit near the top of the display, slim side bezels, and a tiny edge at the bottom.

An earlier source provided a wealth of information about the impending phone’s features, suggesting that it has the potential to be a very capable device. The Pixel 7a may upgrade from the current Sony IMX363 sensor to the newer Sony IMX787 sensor for its camera. In addition, a Samsung-made 1080p panel will be included, and the phone is expected to feature a greater refresh rate than the present model. Additionally, the phone will support wireless charging, which would be a first for a Pixel device.

Of course, these are only early renders, and things could end up altering, but OnLeaks, the render provider to Smartprix, has a reasonably decent track record, so this is probably what the final product will look like. Since the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro were virtually identical to their predecessors, this shouldn’t come as much of a surprise.
