It’s great to see that the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, two powerful phones that were launched last year, weren’t forgotten by the famous Chinese manufacturer. OnePlus is now pushing the OxygenOS 13 update, meaning the Android-based mobile operating system, to both OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro models, as GSMArena reveals.

A lot of people who own either one of the aforementioned models from the Chinese tech firm have already been lucky enough to receive the update. But since the rollout is happening gradually, there is more time to wait until everybody can get their hands on the new update. It seems safe to assume that it may take a few weeks.

What’s new

The new update for the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro brings along some exciting functionalities, such as HyperBoost GPA 4.0, Quantum Animation Engine 4.0, and more. Those who will get to benefit from the update will have the chance to enjoy everything that Android 13 brings new.

The OnePlus 9 series is a pretty interesting one, considering that it brings functionalities such as Hyper Touch, an Ultra-Responsive system, a power-saving display of 120Hz refresh rate and LTPO, and a lot more.

We also have to mention the cameras of the OnePlus 9 series. You can use the device to record video up to 8K quality at 30FPS. If that’s too much for you, you can also record video in 4K at 120FPS. The cameras can also benefit from the Natural Color Calibration with Hasselblad.

If you have a OnePlus 9 or 9 Pro, the wisest thing to do at this point is to keep it connected to the internet via WiFi, as the update can arrive at any time. A notification will let you know when the phone is ready, or you can also search for the update manually by heading over to the device’s Settings menu.
