Red Dead Redemption 3: Are There Any Updates?

Credit: Rockstar Games

RDR fans have been talking about the possibility of a Red Dead Redemption 3 for a long time. Rockstar Games would be foolish not to create RDR3 after the massive success of the last installment. All the information on the potential launch of a descendant is summed up in this article.

Rockstar Games is a video game developer and publisher best known for the Grand Theft Auto (GTA) and Red Dead Redemption (RDR) video game franchises. Red Dead Redemption 2 was released roughly four years ago and was a tremendous commercial success for Rockstar Games, but speculations regarding Red Dead Redemption 3 are still quite sparse. Meanwhile, information on Grand Theft Auto 6 is becoming more concrete, and the game is slowly but steadily coming into focus.

Given the game’s massive popularity, the question of when Red Dead Redemption 3 will be released should be much more pressing than if it will be made.  Sadly no, Red Dead Redemption 3 is not currently in production. At this time, it is unknown if Rockstar is developing Red Dead Redemption 3. The disheartening news that an RDR remaster had been abandoned by Rockstar came in July. That ought to free up some manpower in the studios, so maybe they can work on Red Dead Redemption 3 as well.

With Grand Theft Auto VI on the horizon, it seems likely that Rockstar will begin development on Red Dead Redemption 3 at some point in the future, if they haven’t already gotten the ball rolling with preliminary planning. Keep in mind that it took 8 years to create Red Dead Redemption 2, and we didn’t find out about it until it was far into production. Rockstar has been silent thus far. We mostly heard them discuss forthcoming adjustments to their games’ AI systems. In a talk given a while ago.
