Dead Cells, the rogue-lite, metroidvania-inspired, and action-platformer available for PC and consoles, is going through a new update once again. Known as ‘Enter the Panchaku,’ the new DLC brings a series of exciting elements.

There’s a new weapon available in the game, and you might have already guessed its name: Panchaku. Players who install the update will also get a rework of 29 items, such as skills, weapons, and mutations. There’s also the fun possibility of petting your animals.

Feel free to watch the gameplay trailer for the ‘Enter the Panchaku’ update for Dead Cells:

You can grab the game from Steam if you don’t have it installed already. Here’s a description from the famous gaming service, in case you want to learn more about Dead Cells:

You grew up with the roguelikes, witnessed the rise of the roguelites and even the birth of the roguelite-lites? We’d now like to present for your consideration our RogueVania, the illegitimate child of a modern Roguelite (Rogue Legacy, Binding of Isaac, Enter the Gungeon, Spelunky, etc.) and an old-school MetroidVania (Castlevania: SotN and its ilk).

Dead Cells seems to have been made in the good old style of those ‘ancient’ games for SNES or Sega Genesis. It obviously features 2D gameplay that will arguably keep you coming for more!

Motion Twin is both the developer and publisher for Dead Cells. You can buy the standard version of the game from Steam for 14.99 euros, which is actually a discount of 40%. If you want the Road to the Sea Bundle, you’ll need to pay 23.20 euros. Purchasing Road to the Sea Bundle + OSTs for 30.34 euros is also a good deal. Last but not least, you might also consider buying the “Off With Your Head” Bundle for 22.55 euros. All of these offers come at discounted prices.
