Although we’re a few months away from the arrival of FIFA 23, which will most likely be launched in September, the good old FIFA 22 still has a lot to prove. According to RealSport101.com, it’s time for Title Update #8 to fix some key aspects of the PC version of FIFA 22.

Although FIFA 22 is also available for PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Google Stadia, those who play the game from these platforms have no other option but to be patient. Our guess is that the update should arrive for them as well at a later date.

The patch notes aren’t too numerous, but we believe that they’re enough for what the gamers need.

Gameplay

The new update gives the Drag to Drag skill move some decent level of attention, which is perhaps the highlight. You can now interrupt the move sooner once it becomes active.

Plenty of issues are receiving fixes:

  • Fixed the problem of Auto-Switching not occurring as it should for the defending team when a player is performing a cross and the defenders are Containing.
  • The goalkeeper doesn’t rush towards the attacker anymore unless it’s being asked to.
  • During Co-Op, less time is required for the kick-off pass animation.

There are also changes regarding Volta Football, Pro Clubs, and more.

It’s great to see that FIFA 22 is still popular, even though we’re going through some times where there are countless football simulators available. Here’s how the official Steam page describes the game:

Powered by Football™, EA SPORTS™ FIFA 22 brings the game even closer to the real thing with fundamental gameplay advances and a new season of innovation across every mode.

As for the successor FIFA 23, the game is expected to arrive on September 30, 2022, for the following platforms: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Windows PC via Steam, and Google Stadia.
