Cyberpunk 2077 Next-Gen Will Probably Be Released Next Month

After Cyberpunk 2077‘s disastrous launch back in 2020, there may be a next-gen update available for PlayStation 5. It seems that a new version of the game has been spotted in the PSN database. A recent leak has shown that there is a 1.5 patch that could possibly re-launch the game. But a developer at CD Projekt Red has talked about this issue, saying that it just does not add up. But a next-gen update is still in the works, and an announcement may be here sooner than expected, especially now, after it has been discovered in the PSN database.

The leak was given by Twitter user PlayStation Game Size, who is the one talking about the size of new titles, updates, and many more. He’s doing it by checking the official PlayStation network database. So, indeed, the user has found an official PlayStation 5 version of Cyberpunk 2077, and he has also shared a new cover image.

Rumor has it, there will also be a release for the next-gen update, that will take place between mid-February and early March. So if the next-gen version of the game was found in the database, then an official release might actually happen next month.

The update was supposed to be released in 2021, but it was delayed to 2022, together with another popular title: The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the PS5, and Xbox Series X|S version.

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that both next-gen updates are on track for their new releases. If you own the current-gen version of the game, then you will be able to upgrade for free when it gets here.
