Diana Gabaldon started working on Outlander in the late 1980s. The series has ten volumes, and it tells the story of nurse Claire Fraser who travels in time. She gets from 20th-century Britain back to 18th-century Scotland. The series was so popular that soon, Hollywood made it into a TV show.
Outlander was first released in August 2014, two months after the 8th book of the series was released. The cast included Caitríona Balfe, Sam Heughan, Graham McTavish, among others, and the series won numerous nominations and awards. As of now, we have five seasons and 67 episodes worth of awesomeness.
Fans are eager to see what happens next, so let’s see what we know so far about Season 6 of Outlander.
What happened in Season 5?
Season 5 ended with a cliffhanger. After Claire is captured and assaulted by Lionel Brown and his men, Jamie, her husband, comes to save her. They then go back to their home, but it’s not all milk and honey. They need to stop the British forces from taking their home away. We cannot wait to see what happens in Season 6.
So when is the release date?
According to some sources, Season 6 will be here on the 6th of March, 2021. It will be here on Sunday, at 9:00 PM on all Starz streaming platforms. These episodes will follow the story from her book „A Breath of Snow and Ashes,” which was released back in 2005.
We know we still have a lot of time to wait for, but we know for sure that Season 6 is coming, and we cannot wait to see how the story continues.
