Nothing Phone (1) is not only a new smartphone with an amusing name that attracts many malicious jokes from haters. It’s also the moniker of an impressive device that came out last year in July, and it stands out due to its generous RAM memory, powerful cameras, and more.
On the other hand, things are a bit more complicated when it comes to Android 14. Google’s latest version of the mobile operating system is still in its Beta phase and shall become available for the public later during the current year.
Nothing confirms that Phone (1) will receive Android 14 Beta in a few weeks
According to 9to5Google, the London-based smartphone company known as Nothing has confirmed that their new Phone (1) will be eligible for the Android 14 Beta update after a few weeks. While there’s no precise release date resulting from this phrase, we can assume that the phone in question will have access to the latest version of Android after at least a week and a maximum of 3 weeks.
What’s interesting is that Nothing Phone (1) will be among the first smartphones that weren’t manufactured by Google but that also receive the latest Android 14 Beta update. It’s reasonable to expect that Google will have its own Pixel smartphones as a priority when it comes to the first gadgets that will run on their Android 14 Beta update.
Google started its Pixel line of smartphones way back in 2016. As for now, Google is preparing for the release of the Pixel 8 series, which should occur in a few months. On the other hand, the latest Pixel phones are those from the Pixel 7 series that came out last year in October.
One of the new features that Google implements for the new Android 14 is the ability of apps to display optional actions in the native share sheet.
