Nintendo brings a new update for its handheld console Nintendo Switch, and there are already reasons to believe that the famous company has some interesting plans for the future. The console has rapidly gained popularity since its release back in early 2017, but it’s also in danger of becoming obsolete due to the releases of the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles that took place in late 2020.
According to Nintendo Everything, Nintendo has already released the firmware update v16.0.2 for its famous handheld console, and the patch notes are revealed. Unfortunately or not, there’s no use in expecting anything spectacular, but we should still give Nintendo the benefit of the doubt.
Nintendo Switch v16.0.2 update patch notes
According to Nintendo, the new update only brings a series of general system stability improvements in order to enhance the experience of the users. Nintendo doesn’t go into detail in order to clarify what exactly those improvements could mean. However, here’s an interesting quote from the company:
In most situations, the Nintendo Switch will automatically download the most recent system update while it is connected online. You can verify your current menu version and manually start the update from the System Settings menu if necessary.
The new update in question is currently rolling out for everyone who has a Nintendo Switch at home, but at the same time, they need to have enough patience. Most users will have the chance to download the update automatically. If patience is not among your virtues, you could also check it out on the System tab from the system settings. Later on, you’ll have to simply choose the “System Update” option.
