The introduction of the Pixel 7a, which will most likely take place at Google I/O 2023 this spring, marks the impending release of the cheapest part of the Pixel 7 family. In the meanwhile, a third-party case maker has already published cases for the mid-range handheld, complete with render pictures to accompany the listings.

Renders of the Google Pixel 7a have been available for at least two months, even though the company has not yet launched the gadget. After then, a hands-on video showing what is most certainly a prototype of the Pixel 7a surfaced online a month ago. Now, a case maker has already prototyped a transparent silicone cover for the next mid-range smartphone, replete with renderings displaying the handset from all angles.

It should come as no surprise that the design exhibited is consistent with earlier disclosures. Therefore, the Pixel 7a is an exact replica of the Pixel 7, with a single front-facing sensor centered at the top of a flat display and two rear-facing cameras grouped in a broad camera bar. In addition, the Pixel 7a features a USB Type-C connection inside its chassis that measures 152.4 x 72.9 x 9.0 mm but does not include a 3.5 mm jack. Google eliminated the 3.5 mm jack from the Pixel a series with the introduction of the Pixel 6a.

As things stand, it is anticipated that Google will unveil the Pixel 7a during the spring iteration of its I/O conference. These events typically take place in May, although Google has not yet provided confirmation about the dates of I/O 2023. When compared to the Pixel 6a, the overall visual presentation of the Pixel 7a seems to be just slightly improved. According to rumors, Google’s mid-range smartphone series will eventually have a display with a frequency of 90 hertz (Hz), along with other capabilities like as the company’s most recent Tensor G2 processor.
