A fresh leak from Genshin Impact has provided additional details about one of the series’ most anticipated characters, Baizhu. Since his introduction in the “Guizhong” mission in the Liyue area, many have been eager for Baizhu to join the playable roster. A number of reliable sources have spilled the beans on his impending release, so it doesn’t seem like gamers will have to wait too much longer.
Dehya and Mika, two new playable characters in Update 3.5, have been announced through official Genshin Impact social media pages. There will be a new five-star character named Dehya, and a new four-star character named Mika may share a banner.

Additional details on Baizhu’s equipment have been published in a recent post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit. The leak suggests that one of Baizhu’s abilities will provide him with a barrier that prevents him from being interrupted while using it. According to the leak, Baizhu is a cross between Layla and Yae Miko from the Dendro race. Four-star newcomer Layla possesses a powerful shield and excellent elemental utility. Powered by her Electro totems, Yae Miko stands out as a one-of-a-kind Genshin Impact playable character. Though both characters have the capacity to consistently apply their element, the leak notes that Baizhu won’t have outstanding Dendro application without extra constellations.
Many players say they have been hoarding Primogems in anticipation of Baizhu’s arrival, thus the community doesn’t seem too worried that his full potential is supposedly buried beneath his C1 level. Earlier sources indicated that the snake coiled around Baizhu’s neck—named Changsheng—would also be a part of his arsenal.
In all likelihood, Baizhu’s meteoric rise to fame may be traced back to the fact that he was the game’s lone Dendro user at release. Some gamers were hoping that HoYoverse would make Baizhu the first playable Dendro character, but the developer instead decided to wait his introduction since he is from the Liyue area.
Despite the lack of official confirmation, a number of speculations have suggested that Baizhu would be included in the next Genshin Impact update 3.6. However, the precise timing of his release and the identities of any potential new playable characters are still unknown. The game’s typical update timetable suggests that version 3.6 will be released somewhere around April 15.
