Smartphones carrying both the Redmi and POCO logo will be released soon to the market, and to make things easier, Xiaomi will practically put them both into one package. That’s right, Xiaomi Redmi 12C and POCO C55 will come out globally side by side, as Notebookcheck reveals.
The POCO C55 is expected to offer a similar hardware configuration as the Redmi 12C, but with one significant difference – the lack of NFC capabilities. NFC, or Near Field Communication, is a technology that enables devices to communicate wirelessly with each other over short distances. It’s most commonly used for contactless payments, but also can be used for other features such as sharing files, pairing with other devices and more.
MediaTek Helio G85 will be powering the POCO C55
The POCO C55 gadget will be powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor. This system-on-a-chip (SoC) is a mid-range processor that is designed to provide a balance of performance and power efficiency.
The Helio G85 processor is built on a 12nm manufacturing process, which allows it to deliver high performance while still being power efficient. It features an octa-core CPU with 2 high-performance Cortex-A75 cores and 6 energy-efficient Cortex-A55 cores. This configuration is designed to provide a balance of performance and power efficiency, allowing the device to handle demanding tasks while still maintaining a reasonable battery life.
In addition to its powerful processor, the POCO C55 smartphone will also feature a large, 6.71-inch IPS display. This display is designed to provide a high-quality viewing experience for the user, with a resolution of 720p and a peak brightness of 500 nits. This level of brightness will help the device perform well in a wide range of lighting conditions and environments, making it ideal for use both indoors and outdoors.
Moreover, The POCO C55 comes equipped with a large 5,000mAh battery which ensures a longer battery life. The device will also feature a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, providing an extra layer of security and convenience for users who want to quickly and easily unlock their device.
