Oh, the dreaded blue screen of death! The bane of every Windows user’s existence. It’s like the computer version of a root canal without the happy gas.
You’re just casually working away, typing up that important document, or maybe watching some cat videos on YouTube, and suddenly, without warning, everything freezes. Your heart races as you frantically try to save your work, but it’s too late. The blue screen appears, and you know it’s game over.
You start sweating profusely as you try to make sense of the mind-bending technical jargon that’s plastered all over the screen. You try to remember if you installed any new software recently or if you’ve been neglecting to update Windows. All the while, your computer is making that ominous buzzing sound, like it’s trying to tell you something, and you’re just not getting it.
Windows 11 also has the Blue Screen of Death… sometimes!
According to XDA, Microsoft has released a new update to tackle the blue screen error on Windows 11. Because yes, even the latest operating system built by Microsoft has to deal with the legendary error to some degree!
Windows 11 and its subsequent version, 22H2, are both receiving updates, but the specifics of the updates differ. Those who are using the initial release of Windows 11 can expect to see build 22000.1455, while those running 22H2 will receive build 22621.1105. If you’re still using the original Windows 11, you can manually download the update labeled KB5022287, which brings along a fix for an issue where some devices experience the blue screen of death during startup.
Windows 11 includes many new features and improvements over its predecessor, Windows 10. One of the main new features is the modern design which aims to be more intuitive and user-friendly. Touch and pen input has been optimized for tablets and 2-in-1 devices, making it more convenient for those devices. The Start menu has been redesigned with new live tile functionality and easy access to frequently used apps. Multitasking has been improved with new features like Snap Layouts and Snap Groups. Virtual Desktops have also been improved with better organization and management.
