Lenovo has released four new laptop models, or rather just two models available in both Intel and AMD flavors. Lenovo’s Legion Pro 7, Legion Pro 7i, Legion Pro 5, and Legion Pro 5i are all equipped with 13th-generation Intel Core or AMD Ryzen 7000-series CPUs and Nvidia GeForce RTX 40-series graphics processing units, respectively.
Because of their high power consumption, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7 and Pro 7i need extensive cooling systems. The laptops use a sophisticated cooling technology called ColdFront 5.0 with Hybrid Thermals housed in an extra-wide vapor chamber to cool both the central processing unit (CPU) and the graphics processing unit (GPU). In the meantime, a ColdFront 5.0 system, including twin fans, hybrid heat pipes, and a phase-change thermal compound, keeps the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 and Legion Pro 5i running cool at their maximum combined TDP of 200W.
