In just about a week, the world will get to witness the reveal of the Honor 80 series of smartphones, and there are strong reasons why fans can be optimistic. The series will likely consist of four models: vanilla, SE, Pro, and Pro+.
Quoting Weibo as the source, GSMArena brings the exciting news about the new Honor 80 series. According to the Chinese brand itself, the upcoming Honor 80 Pro will be equipped with a 160MP camera. It will surely represent a significant addition, considering that there are not many smartphones out there on the market that have cameras higher than 108MP. Obviously, the 160MP camera will be mounted on the rear of the future phone.
As for the front cameras of the Honor 80 Pro, we can tell that there’s a dual-sensor setup. Rumors claim that the Pro+ model will even sport two cameras on the front, each of them reaching 50MP.
A huge jump from the Honor Magic4 Pro?
Honor Magic4 Pro, which came out this year in April, is arguably the most powerful smartphone built by Honor. It’s equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, 8 to 12GB of RAM, an LTPO OLED display of 6.81 inches, and a main 64MP camera lens. But it seems that, at least when it comes to the camera part, the upcoming Honor 80 Pro will be more impressive than the Magic4 Pro.
It’s also reasonable to assume that judging by what we know for sure about the cameras of the Honor 80 Pro, the rest of the phone’s features when it comes to taking photos and recording videos should be top-class as well.
Our guess is that if you’re willing to get your hands on the Honor 80 Pro, you’ll have to spend well over $1,000.
